I LOVE GOOD DESIGN

I admire it wherever I see it — an evocative logo; a funny t-shirt graphic; bold typography; mind-bending photo enhancements; or an appropriate colour choice that feels “just right”.

Let me design the layout for that important proposal you're working on. Or let me create the new logo versions you need: distressed look; single colour; icon only; 3-D; etc. Maybe it's simply a new business card you need, or a marketing piece like a poster, postcard or brochure. Maybe you're looking for something large-format, like a mural? I'd love to help you!

On the pages of this website you'll find a few, simple samples. Some are graphics only. Some are primarily type (or layout). Some contain photos, and some combine a variety of media.

The samples mostly speak for themselves (hopefully), but a few come with some additional, comments.

DESIGN COMES TO LIFE

This graphic sketch came to life as the custom front door of this house on the Sunshine Coast, B.C. The door craftsman faithfully built this solid Douglas Fir door to my specifications that accompanied the sketch and the result is the owner's favourite feature of their new home.

bike rack nature

NATURE RACK

A bike rack design. Forested mountains—often cloaked in clouds—are Vancouver's iconic backdrop. This design of cloud, mountain and tree as a bike rack in urban areas will will provide pride and pleasure as it reminds users of the unique, natural context of the city of Vancouver.

VAN-HEART-BIKE

Another bike rack design. This design emulates Vancouver's bike-friendly disposition by using text, emoji and icon to say, "Vancouver Loves Bikes". The heart and bike symbols also represent healthy, green choices, which many Vancouverites can relate to—especially cyclists.
